We are happy to announce the extension of the NELIOTA project for two years. Starting in August 2021, the project is funded by ESA through the project Consolidating Activities Regarding Moon, Earth and NEOs (CARMEN, contract No. 4000134667/21/D/MRP), coordinated by 6ROADS, until July 2023. The NELIOTA team continued lunar monitoring observations in the interim period between projects, i.e. between January and July 2021. To date, NELIOTA has detected 129 impact flashes, shown in the image.
