NELIOTA: 113 impact flashes detected in first phase of operation
NELIOTA formally ended its first phase of operation on January 8, 2021. Since the beginning of NELIOTA observations in February 2017, we have detected 113 validated and 48 suspected lunar impact flashes in 169 hours of observations. Currently, we are in the process of negotiations with ESA to continue lunar monitoring observations from Kryoneri Observatory. We hope to announce the continuation of the project soon, please stay tuned!
